The trailer got out on 19th November and from the first look, we can say that it’s not the vampire story we saw on Twilight. The vampirism is caused by some virus and it was spreading quickly. Humans and the vampire got into a bloody war and humanity was once again in danger. Humans were busy fighting with them and also spending time on labs to find the cure. And in the meantime, the vampires were busy, again you guessed it correctly, sucking blood and killing humans. It’s an all-out war between the two forces.

From the lab, our protagonist of the series is Dr. Luther Swann who is trying to understand the disease and find a cure to save humanity. Swann is played by Ian, the vampire from ‘The Vampire Diaries’, Somerhalder. The leader of the vampire is none other than the best friend of Dr. Luther Swann, Micheal Fayne played by Adrian Holmes who worked in ‘Arrow’. The doctor promises his friend to find the cure but the war between the vampires and humans escalated. The cast also consists of Laura Vandervoort who plays the role of a character named Mila. In the trailer, we saw Swann caring for his former friend but at the same time he picked up weapons against the vampires, killing one at the last moment of the trailer.
    Behind the Scenes:
Though the graphic novel was written by Jonathan Maberry, the show is being adapted by William Laurin and Glenn Davis. The series was directed by three directors. Among the directors, there is the fan-favorite of ‘The Vampire Diaries’ Ian Somerhalder and the duo of Brad Turner and T.J Scott. The series has 15 producers and guess what Somerhalder is one of them. Clearly, Somerhalder involved himself in all aspects of this vampire series and we have to wait and see if this vampire saga wins the hearts of viewers like ‘The Vampire Diaries’.
