Sundar Pichai is appointed as the CEO of Alphabet, a parent company of Google

Google and its parent company Alphabet gonna face some big changes. Sundar Pichai the CEO of Google recently appointed as the new CEO of Alphabet. On December 3, 2019 Sergey Brin and Larry Page who are the co-founder of both Google and Alphabet announced this news by publishing a letter that tells Sundar Pichai is taking over Alphabet as CEO.

Larry Page and Sergey Brin are stepping down from their respective position of CEO in Alphabet but they will remain involved with the company as board members and shareholders. Larry and Sergey noted that the company no longer needed two CEO and a President.

Sundar Pichai is currently the CEO of Google. Sundar is working as the CEO of Google since 2015 and he is working for Google for very long time, almost 15 years. Larry Page and Sergey Brin both are confident about Pichai to lead both Google and Alphabet.

The two cofounders published a letter announcing the news that describes the reason behind the shift and evolution of Google since they founded it in 1998. Even though Larry Page and Sergey Brin assured they will be involved with Google and Alphabet, it’s still a little disappointment to see both men stepping down from their roles within the companies.
